DESCRIPTION: Up to 7mm in length. A subtle but neat looking Ground Bug best identified by the yellow-brown to brown pronotum, the light and dark banded legs and connexivum, the gray-yellow antennae, the overall shiny appearance and the whitish long and erect hairs on the head and pronotum.  The front femora bear a single spine. BEHAVIOUR: Adults overwinter beneath bark or woody debris. During mating male and females may remain coupled together for 3–4 days. DISTRIBUTION: Common throughout, more localised in the South. HABITAT: Found wherever Nettle is located where it can be seen in large congregations. PERIOD: Can be seen all year round but best noted in late summer.
